June is National Safety Month presented by the National Safety Council. The month-long campaign focuses on reducing leading causes of injury and death at work, on the roads and in our homes and communities.
National Safety Month is all about acknowledging and reducing the risk of preventable injuries in our families and communities.
Each of the four weeks has a different theme:
Stand Ready to Respond: focusing on first-aid training.
Be Healthy: focusing on medical advice and proper prescription drug use.
Watch Out for Dangers: focusing on preventing injuries in the home.
Share the Roads Safely: focusing on distracted driving and other road dangers.
All of these safety initiatives are supported by the National Safety Council's motto: “Safe For Life”.
At Britax, safety is in our DNA. Safety is the first priority in everything we engineer, test, and build here at our American headquarters.
That’s why all this month we are sharing tips and advice we’ve learned in our years as the leader in safety technology.
#1 Brand in Safety Technology
At Britax, we value safety in all aspects of life, but we specialize in child passenger safety. Our in-house engineering and crash testing teams work with the latest state-of-the-art equipment to make sure that we continue our legacy of innovation. All of our seats feature several technological breakthroughs that were developed by our dedicated team.
For example, Britax worked with industry leaders and vehicle manufacturers to help spearhead the European ISOFIX standard and corresponding Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) technology. The creation and implementation of this standard allowed the entire industry to benefit from improvements in safety technology.
But we didn’t stop there. Most recently, Britax debuted the ClickTight installation system as a result of overwhelming independent research that 3 out of 4 car seats are installed incorrectly. No matter how safely a seat is engineered, it will not perform at its best unless it is properly and securely installed. That’s why the ClickTight system installs simply using the vehicle seatbelt. Because the easier a car seat is to install, the safer it is for children.
